Isn't that special?

Impending news alert: Karl Rove was the person who farmed out the identity of Valerie Plame to the media.

Well, this would not only explain the foot-dragging the White House has been doing over prosecuting the case, but might also explain Rove's incendiary comments the other day - an attempt at pre-emption of calls for his prosecution? ("These charges are only being made agains Mr. Rove because of his comments on liberals and 9/11...")

Not to be too cynical, but I will be truly suprised if Rove suffers any penalty for what, arguably, is an act of treason.

UPDATE:
Ted Rall also suggest the label of "treason".

It is impossible for Republicans to commit treason. All they do is patriotic, for they are not liberals.

Cats, you see, can climb trees, but dogs can't. Simple logic, really.
