Gosh, How did I miss THIS?

While I was off paying attention to real news like Bush's new Supreme Court nominee ("Never changing your mind is a GOOD thing!") and Tom "Bugman" DeLay's indictments ("It was on fire when I sat down on it! Really!") I somehow missed this:

It may be the oddest tale to emerge from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Armed dolphins, trained by the US military to shoot terrorists and pinpoint spies underwater, may be missing in the Gulf of Mexico.

Now, I remember when the military was training dolphins to defuse mines or some such thing (and the fact that we have so many dolphin mine-clearers working today shows how well THAT worked), but giving them poison dart guns? The HELL? What's next - paranoid cats with curare-dipped claws? Dogs with flamethrowers? Bonobo chimps with nuclear demolition charges?
