Caught in a lie, he denies that was HIS hand in the cookie jar

Daily Kos with the expose of a Repug candidate in California who posted a picture on his website showing, supposedly, the calmness of The New Post-Invasion Baghdad:


(and, indeed, labeled the picture as "sm_DowntownBaghdad.JPG")

Then some research by Kos's commenters, Democratic Underground and Talking Points Memo revealed another view of the "Baghdad street corner" - only, this street corner was in Turkey:



Now the aforementioned Repug is claiming it the fault of the webmaster in putting the wrong picture up:

[O]n the way back from Baghdad some of the crew stopped in Istanbul as a layover. We turned all the photographs [from the trip] over to the webmaster, and it appears he took one from the stopover and not from Baghdad. If a mistake happened, we'll correct it.
