"You suckers'll believe ANYTHING, I swear!"

Remember all those excited stories a couple months back about Iraq drawdowns and how "our boys" were coming home?

Hosed again:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush held out the possibility on Tuesday of a U.S. troop presence in Iraq for many years, saying a full withdrawal would depend on decisions by future U.S. presidents and Iraqi governments.

Oops, sorry 'bout that.

Of course, the immediate question is, where will the troops come from? Some are facing a fourth or even fifth tour of duty, some are being sent back regardless of possible mental problems, and thousands are being crippled, if not outright killed.

Is the plan to wait until after the 2006 election is stolen to reinstate the draft? And if not, what is it?
