Aaaaaaaah jeez louise

That lil' bar at the top where it allows you to log into Blogger disappeared the other day... so, stupidly, I figured I'd "update" my blog just in case it'd bring it back.

Not only did it not, it's wiped out all the stuff on my sidebar.

Wheee. Time to reconstruct.

EDIT: The bar is still not there. Anyone know what's wrong?

EDIT: it's baaaaaack! I have no idea what I did. Frekin' Blogger.

EDIT: Oh, this is special. Now I have the top bar back but it won't let me click on links to see comments or edit a post. FAAAAAAUUUUUUUGH

EDIT: Oh, it gets even frickin' BETTER. Can't click on links at all on the page, and for bonus points I can't even highlight text to cut 'n' paste. Hey, and I can do all this on SOMEONE ELSE'S Blogger blog, but not on mine. Is it Opera's browser? Is it my "upgrade"? Is it *gasp* SATAN?

Such maturity is admirable, no?

Yep... been awhile. Yep.

*sighs, looks off to horizon*

Too long... too long a time.

What?

Huh?

No, I didn't mean maturity on my part... it's those notably respectable Republicans again - the ones who crowed back in 2000 that "the adults are in charge again". Well, we seem in so many ways to be back in Clinton-time as far as they're concerned, so it shouldn't be surprising that they've gone back to Clinton-era whining and posturing:

Over a dozen members of the conservative wing of the RNC have submitted a new resolution, to be eventually voted on by the entire RNC, that would call on the Democratic party to rename itself the “Democrat Socialist Party.” If the RNC adopts this resolution, the RNC’s official view would become that Democrats are socialists.

The "consevative wing of the RNC"? The mind croggles. People who're all misty-eyed over the good old days of Franco, Fuijimori and Rios Montt? Folks who want to scatter land-mines across the Southern border? After all, the mainstream of Repug thought, to judge by Beck, Limbaugh et al is little more than a copy of The New American come to horrifying life - and yet there's people to the right of them. Scary.

(BTW - thanks to commie atheist over at Sadly, No! for the link.)
